I am trying to find information on the Turnbull side of my family,
my gg grandfather was Alexander Polson Turnbull b 27/04/1876.
Alexander married Jennie Bradley 16/02/1897 in Scarborough, Yorkshire on the marriage certificate it states that his father Robert Anderson Turnbull was a blacksmith.
I have also found a Robert Anderson Elliot or Turnbull marriage to Margaret Gunn Polson .12/01/1875. This states that Roberts mum was Elizabeth Elliot (wife of Robert young) no fathers name mentioned
On the 1881 census I have found Robert A Turnbull b 1839/40 Castleton Roxburgh. living at Murray Place Hawick.
On 1851 census I have found Robert Turnbull living in Castleton along with
