Thomas Hartley born Heponstall

Thomas Hartley was born 1863 in Heponstall.    He is shown in the 1891 Census married to Martha and they have a son, James, born 1885 and a daughter, Sarah, born 1887.   In 1891 their address is 13 Main Street Heponstall.

To trace the ancestors of Thomas and Mary I will need a marriage certificate but don't know when they were married.   As their first child was born in 1885 I'm assuming they were married (not necessarily so) around this time but I can find no possible matching record.

Can anyone help me?
