( Somerset) 1841/1851/1861/1871 Census Lookup Request Please For James Rossiter

Hi,

I am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of James Rossiter born circa 1839.

Sorry I can't be any more precise but I'm using info from the 1881 Census and it tells me only that he was born in Somerset.

Maybe an earlier census will give his actual birthplace.

Hi Emma,

Many thanks for that. Using the information you've supplied I've managed to link up James with his earlier ancestors pre-1841. So that's one more off the list. Only a few million more to go!! LOL!!

Hi Emma,

A challenge it is. Can you find me a marriage record for James born 1839 please? He married Ann born circa 1843 from Llandogo.

The nearest record I can find is to Anne Davies in 1869 but by then he had 2 or 3 children and I'm not sure if its the right one.

I'd expect it to be around 1862/1863 probably in Wales but if it is earlier there may be other children who are not listed.
