Jacks - it depends how much credence you are putting on that 1871 census find ... that particular chap cant be found in England in 1861 or 1881, based on DoB & PoB .... maybe Wales does figure ?

The records I mentioned are on the 1st page of this thread .... Almondsbury ....

Just a thought...

Who are the witnesses on Elizabeth's marriage certificate? Quite often they will be sisters and brothers of the bride and groom - they might give you a clue

Just had a look and there is another Elizabeth with a father William who might fit.

The family appear again in 1871 with the addition of another child Emily (c1869)

You mentioned Elizabeth once lists her birthplace as St Philip Bristol which would tie in. Would you be satisfied with Irish rather than Welsh connections??

The info I have about the marriage doesnt give witnesses to the wedding.

*sobs quietly*

I'm starting to think that it could be anyone at this point!

...and I thought Frederick Brown's family was bad...his grandad is John Brown who married Mary....

Sheikhalbadou, I noted the William Bennett that you referred to and he is a possible.

Newfy, its a possibilty!

They are all possible!!

*screams*

Both Elizabeths seem to be born around the correct date! Sadly she never seems to have had any siblings to visit in later census years!
