Can any one try and help me decipher what could be a Charles Sach in the April Quarter of 1848 in the GRO BMD Index for Births.The Registration District could be H------- !

RD 12 is Essex and Suffolk and the nearest that I can come up with is Henham, Essex but that's not an RD $:-\$

Thanks for that Gadget,it has nothing to do with me personally,I'm merely trying to help someone on GR.I have to say though it isn't the clearest writing!

The writing is appalling, William. I think it is West Ham written very tightly. There's another Vol xii further down which defies interpretation.

Not really sure whether I approve of you looking for info on West Ham
