How do you research Native Americans in the USA?
« on: Saturday 16 December 06 22:25 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if SKS can tell me how to find any records on the following person, I have put down as much as I know:

Alice Littlebird, she was a Native American living on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico in 1905.  I am a member of Ancestry.uk and note that there is an Alice Littlebird listed on the 1900 census in New Mexico, unfortunately I cannot view the document.

Anyone out there that can help?

Hi CJ:
Here are a few sites that may be helpful: http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/
http://www.genealogybranches.com/nativeamericans.html
http://www.linkpendium.com/genealogy/USA/NM/San_Juan/

I am having problem trying to get access to my census site tonight but when I can I will take a look at that 1900 entry for you.
