Is he the little chap living with his Grandparents in 1891 in Bottesford?

If so, the registration may be in Lincolnshire - Grantham

There is a John Walter Cooper registered Q3 1885 at Grantham  :-\

Looking through the GRO Indexes for 1885 and 1886 the one they sent you is the only one that fits for somebody born in Frankton, which was registered in Rugby.

Can you tell us where you got Frankton from- searching the 1901 indexes by just putting Frankton in- with no name at all only gives you one person a lady called Alice  ;D

Maybe we should start at the beginning Zowster- we'll have him done and dusted by bedtime  ;)

I did see from one of your other posts that John W Cooper married Alice Pritchard in 1911 in Tamworth Staffs.

All the best

Carol

Hi Pauline and Zowster,

I thought that the whole post was about zowster having the right certificate.  As John William COOPER is with grandparent in 1891 I'm not sure we have parents for him yet.  Have I misunderstood? I thought that the earlier census records would help.
