Death / Marriage Lookup Please.

I am looking for any possible deaths for Agnes Wood (surname may be Muir) in either Roxburgh or Berwickshire anytime between 1840 and 1871. Or a marriage between a James Wood b 1810 and Elizabeth ?  after 1840 and before 1871.  If anyone fancies a search I'd be ever so grateful! And can offer to do searches in return, in Manchster library/records office...Cheers, Pippa

hi pippa, when you say you are looking for a marriage for james wood and elizabeth, are they also in roxburgh/berwick?

1861 census has a james wood born c1835 married to an elizabeth, he was born jedburgh and lives in yetholm

any good ?

ps he is a tailor

Hi Joe, Thanks for that but My James is a Grocer. But yes, the marriage would be in either Rox. or Berwick.  My James is still married to Agnes in 1841. But thanks for trying!! Cheers, Pippa

So there is!! That's the right family but in 1881 the wife is Elizabeth and I'm trying to find out when and if Agnes died, or if it is just a mistake? Thanks again for looking! Pippa x
