I had a look in the 1916 - 1972 SA Deaths Index and the only Arthur Beasley listed was the following......

Arthur John BEASLEY died  7th Sept 1946
aged 70
Widower
no relative listed
residing Glenelg
died Glenelg
Ref: Ade H 704/4328

Don't know if this could be your Arthur........dee
