Hi there

His death cert may give more info.  This could be him:

Thomas, Samuel 33 yo Year:  1866  WA Ref:  3098

or there's another who was 25 yo:
1866   WA Ref:   3156

Jane

Thanks Jane, my Samuel Thomas would of been 33 so looks like the first one could be him, where does the reference number refer to, is it the national records?  thanks for looking for him..

Hi

The following is a link to the Freemantle prison site.

If you ever take a trip to London, the Archives office in Kew has convict records.  You can get copies of his convict records.

Regards

Genni

I discovered that Fremantle site before i went to bed last night, it is a good site, that is the site that told me when his ticket of leave was, which then meant i got to bed even later..lol but i didnt know the convict records were kept in kew, so thanks for that.

Hi FJ

Thanks Jane, my Samuel Thomas would of been 33 so looks like the first one could be him, where does the reference number refer to, is it the national records?  thanks for looking for him..

These deaths have been discussed on two previous posts - you are unlikely to receive much more information from the certificate as I mentioned earlier.

The reference is a WA reference number. You can buy the certificate from the registry (searching where I referenced) if you wished, but I very much doubt it would tell you anything useful - given that the parent names are unknown.

Thanks Trish,

I am happy knowing what i have already learnt, like you say the death cert isn't going to give me any further info is it. This would suggest he didn't remarry unless she didn't know him very well

Appreciate you looking up his death, thank you.
