Right  :D Most of the time it works, but sometimes it doesn't. In which case the easiest way to access the data is to search for a name that is close (for instance try Kas or Kal or whatever) and, if necessary, trawl a page forwards or backwards from there.

Well now I have another question here  :)

I found a boy born in 1910 that is Alice brother. His name is Fred.

Name: Fred Mellings
Year of Registration: 1910
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Atcham
County: Montgomeryshire, Shropshire
Volume: 6a
Page: 567

There is no record of him beeing married or dead.
Is that because he has moved to another country or something? (he could be 97 years but...).

If he had any children it would be nice to know because they would probably still be alive but I can´t find anyway to go from here...

Hello Marcus,

My name is Christy and my husband is Kelly Mellings.

I was searching for geneology information for his father Michael (Mick) Anthony Mellings.

We are in Alberta, Canada but Mick grew up in the Shropshire area and his Aunt was Alice Mellings. His mother Edith Mary Smout married John Williams Mellings.
Mick even says he has a baby photo of Patricia.

I do hope you still subscribe to this site. If so do contact me!

re: "John's father had the same name as him, John Charles Mellings and a Labourer."

re this: John Charles Mellings' father was a John William Mellings, his father a John Charles and his father a John William etc. I also found a John Mellings born in Shrewsbury in 1871.

Apparently the last John is John William Gordon Mellings who currently lives in Halfway House. He has a daughter in her mid 20's.

He is my husbands' Uncle.

Hi Christy, I'm glad you found this old thread!

I just talked to mom Patricia who had to sit down when she heard about her relatives i Canada.

If I understand everything correct Mick is her first cousin and Me and my sister Liz is Kellys second cousins right?

We are happy to help you with your search from us your Åland Islands relatives and I'm sure mom has a million questions for you and she was really interested in that photo of her as she doesn't have much of that if any from being a baby.

Kind regards
Marcus Boman
