Annie Morris nee Barnes

Hi

We are hoping to find out more about my Granmother, Anne Morris nee Barnes who married Ivan Clayton Morris in Manchester in 1940.

We have a full traceable history for Ivan (granddad) but we are really struggling to source anything other than the Marriage for Annie.

What we believed to be fact turns out to be more likely to be fiction.

We thought that Annie was born in Rochdale or Radcliffe in app 1915, but we arent able to confirm that, and now believe those details to be flawed.

My father, his brother and sister (she gave details on Annie Death Cert) are all in the dark.

So if you knew Annie nad Ivan or knew of them you may be able to help me put the puzzle back together.

Do you have the 1940 marriage cert? That will give her father's name

Annie's father was James Barnes.

They were married 12th October 1940 in Mancheter.

What job did James do,who were the witnesses?

What address did she give on marriage?

What children did they have, do any remember any aunts or uncles?

It might be possible to check out electoral rolls of the time at the local library- you could possibly get her mothers name that way.
