1871 look up request for Lancashire

Could anybody help me out with a look up on the 1871 census for the following members of a family who I am hoping to find together:

They are Charles L Lord, born 1860 so aged about 10
his brother Harold P Lord born 1862, aged about 8/9.

Both born in Halifax Yorkshire.

I believe their parents were dead by 1871 and that they were staying with some relations, possibly with surname Mitchell?

If anyone could shed some light on this for me I would be most grateful.

have found the boys in 1881 which is a free census.
www.faimilysearch.org  and they are staying with a family mitchell.  they are listed as nephews.  i have the 1871 1891 and 1901 census so will try and find them on these.

Thanks Marie.

I have them on the 1881 census, but I am trying to find out definitely if their parents were dead as I suspect they were before 1871, and which kind relative was caring for them in 1871.

You wont find them on the 1901 as they were married then, charles lived in Ireland and Harold in Australia!
