Hello Norma,

What more can you tell us about the Bebbington family?I could not find them in the 1881 Census  :-[ it may be me !

What did come to mind is that Bebbington may originate over in Cheshire as this has the highest concentration of the Bebbington name in 1881 showing  684 and lancashire showing 307 and Staffordshire 111 out of a possible of over 1300.

Regards

Sarah :)

It is the Bebbington side of this family I am looking for as I only know Rebecca's family. They are in the 1881 census and they also have Rebecca's niece Caroline living with them.  I would like to know what has happened between 1881 and now to this side of my family.  Norma

Hi Again

1891 Census

Think this may be your John William and Family

RG12/ 3267/ Folio 17/ Page 28 - Oldham Road, Failsworth, Lancs

BEBBINGTON John William, Head, Marr, 23, General Labourer, born Manchester
Ellen, Wife, Marr, 20, born Bolton, Lancs
John William, Son, Unm, 5months, born Failsworth

Many thanks for this information. I have I think John and family on the 1901 but had nothing between 1881 and 1901.  It looks as though Thomas and Rebecca must have died after 1891 which gives me a starting point to look for their deaths.  Again many thanks Norma
