Hi Suey,

Thanks for the reply. And I will start again, now I have had more time to get my head around this ::)

I am looking for the birth of Elizabeth Annie Tillman, the family came from Hastings. Some time at the beginning of 1900 - 1908 she married William Edward Lee, my grandmother came on the scene in 1908, and they were living at Springfield Road Teddington Middlsex. I do know, that around 1932s my grandmother was visiting either her uncle or could have been her father Mr Tillman at Rye harbour.

I get the impression that William Lee comes from Teddington, my grandmother took my father back up that way during the war. Plus I can remember someone telling me we had a fireman in the family who worked in the London area. And I can still see this picture of the relative on the wall, in an old uniform. On my grandmothers birth cert it says springfield road teddington, and her father was a Hotel Barman in 1908.

So any help would be very gratefully accepted ;D

Hi Tati,

Thanks for the warm welcome and very quick reply ;D

Just looked at my grandmother birth cert, and her mother is down as Annie Lee nee Tillman. So Annie must have dropped the Elizabeth at some point.

I will go off  and order the marriage cert, and hopefully gain more info of both sides of the family.

Thank you again for all your help, and I will be back again for more help ;D

I can see your confusion with this marriage registration.

Is it possible there were 2 William Edward Lee marrying at the same time,or did his first wife die??? :o

Think I will go and order the Lee and Tillman and see what comes back, and keep you up to date on the info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
