St Georges Ramsgate baptism 1827 - 30 please
« on: Saturday 10 February 07 01:25 GMT (UK) »
I cannot see that St Georges is on line on the IGI and I'm looking to check and hopefully rule out that William Ratcliff(e) was baptised there in 1827 - 30 ish.  I know this will mean that if someone is going to Canterbury a request if they can look at the archives as I dont think there is a fiche available from Kent FHS for this church.

I know that St Georges was only consecrated in the late 1820's so if he is there then he would be one of the first baptised.  I do know that he and his wife Sarah Oldfield married in this church in 1850 hence a possible link.

I am also aware that there is a reference to a William Ratcliffe being baptised in St Laurence in 1829 but cant rule out another Willliam being baptised at St Georges hence my request.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help
