Death in Victoria 1902 - Kemp
« on: Monday 12 February 07 07:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

Guess who - Again!!  ;D

I have found the death of Samuel Kemp in Victoria 1902 BMD

Any chance of finding if his mother was Elspeth (Elsipet?) as per 1886 birth?

There is a marriage for a Samuel Kemp in 1932 - so want to see which one is "mine"

Cheers

Keith

The only marriage I can see - Joseph Samuel KEMP to Lily Wfred CATHY  1931 8521 - I can't see a Samuel Kemp in 1932 - nothing close?? - but hang around - I always miss the weird abbreviations

Hi Trish,

I wonder if the BMD's on the net allow for middle names?

On the Gov. site for 1902 it just lists "Samuel Kemp death 1902"

Same for the marriage - except it now says 1931!! ::) ::)

Cheers

Keith

P.S. Hope you saw my latest topic!!  8)

Joseph Samuel Kemp (John Richard and Margaret McMillan) seems to have died Richmond 1969, aged 64
Samuel Kemp unknown parents  died Warragul 1938 aged 75
Samuel Kemp, parents Joseph and Mary Unknown died Glen aged 46 in 1974.
Edit: Can't find any others - Doubtful that he lived past 1985  ???

Hi Trish,

Thanks for those look-ups.

Did I not put "my" Samuel's birth down - oppps  ;D

1886 in Glenyon - only with a mother's name down - who was Elspeth Cowie Kemp - no father (well none down!! ;D)

You did give the date (note my comment above). I wonder if he changed his name later in life? cause I can't find him anywhere - else he moved to another state (quite possible). Was he in any of the WWs?

Some of the others will no doubt be on tonight & find everything I missed  ;D

hello  there Keith
and Trisha

No  you  don't appear  to  have missed anything  Trisha

Keith  I  did look  to see  if  she  married  but couldn't  find anything  the  only  marriage for a Elspeth Kemp  turned out to  have  the wrong  parents on  her death  I  mean  her  parents  weren't  Elspeth Cowie Kemps

It is possible  she did marry  and Samuel  Kemp  became Samuel Who!
