can anyone tell me please if there is another name used for "Phillis "?......such as like Elizabeth,they use Betty ect ...

According to one of the name origin sites that I looked at, click here Phyllis or Phillis has 13 variants.

I don't think it was very common in Scottland though.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
