Hi, please can anybody tell me where this name originated, I have them from Stone in Staffordshire but can't find them elsewhere in the county.

I have them Plymouth ,Devon .traced back to 1700,s

I looked up the name to see where its origins lay......it suggested it was Scottish....lol.

Hi Anna and Jane,
my father and his sister came from Scotland, Dundee.There are lots of Oram's in Scotland, and a fair few from down in the South of England.

Hi Dave, Thanks very much for that, I have quite a few ancestors from Scotland (Borders), one of my greatgrandmothers was born there but unfortunately no connection with my Oram's as yet.
