Hi Aimee,

Ok, no link re the Hudson's as mine are from Worcestershire!

However, the Yorkshire part of you Parker's intrigues me, one of my Parker's left Derbyshire with wife and family in the late 1860's and settled in Yorkshire, Aston Cum Aughton and Ulley to be precise, near Rotherham i think, but not sure, anywhere near Thirsk?

Regards

David

The link above is "broken" and is now:
http://www.pegasusarchive.org/

Then click on "Prisoners of War".

On the site the webmaster offers to look up the details of any POW's in his books!!! I've emailed him about my (mysterious) grandfather was was also captured at Arnhem. He was a Sgt Major, Airborne division and then a military policeman in Palestine where he died in 1946 and never saw my mother. But, I've yet to find any record of him apart from his name on one document of my mothers. I'm not sure whether his name was Philip Anderson Brodie or Bradie (b.1918 Glasgow).

Update: Mark got back to me and said he could find no record of my grandfather. So, I'm thinking he was in the Palestine Police rather than a military policeman.
I've ordered a birth certificate search from GROS too.... *crosses fingers*
