1841 Census - 6 brothers KING - Wortham
« on: Thursday 01 March 07 00:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi All   :)

I am looking for six males, brothers, all born Wortham circa 1800 as I am trying to determine which immigrated to North America and which stayed behind in Suffolk!  Obviously those found on the 1841 stayed behind!  ;D  And of course there is the possibility that some died along the way to 1841 as well?

Anybody up for the challenge? ;D  Now, at this point in my research I have no idea who they might have married so I am just hoping that they will be found in Wortham and the name and age match??  It is a starting point! :-\

Thanks all
LUV

Hi Sue

Thanks so much  ;D

So, none on the King Family boys still living in Wortham in 1841 other than Dad and Mom, but you found 2 of the brothers it seems in Sussex and 1 in Norfolk!

I guess the family moved regardless of coming to NA!

Appreciate the help
Susan  ;)

I have just taken a look at the 1851 LUV and I think the wife may have given Rustington as her place of birth.

She is listed as a Dressmaker - the enumerator writing long S then short S

Similarly the place name is written Russington - long S followed by a short S

I have fond memories of that Sussex coast from childhood holidays  :D

Suffolk Mawther ...

Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?
