Electoral rolls

Is there anywhere that has old ER's online and searcheable?

Im in the position of having address details but cant get to Manchester to check them out.

Help!

Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, there are no old Electoral Rolls on line.

I don't know whether they still have them on line, but they certainly produced them on CD.
I still have a version from 2003, which, presumably refers to the 2002 electoral roll, but even that only includes the people who elect to have their names on the public register.
I don't know if the historical ones are available, though.
I can search it by name but not by address.
