No luck so far.

The 1851 census books were very badly damaged. Not all records survived and many were too damaged to be filmed.

I've looked on the main Salford CD and can't find Manchester Road. (It doesn't have a name index). I've also checked my CD transcripts of unfilmed sections for Pendleton/Pendlebury and Greengate, but can't find Manchester Road or any Bonehills or Orland James.

www.salfordroots.com has a list of some Salford pubs if that's any help.

Do you have any idea which part of Salford it was in?

Hello SKB

Thank you for looking. No I am afraid I only know it was on the manchester road Salford.  Charles Lawley was the beer sellar and his wife Sarah.  This is all the info I have.

Sorry. I've tried looking for Lawley's on my indexed CD's as well but still no luck. They may be hiding on the main CD somewhere or their pages may not have survived.
