Where was Kirk White Street, Nottingham?

I passed by Kirk Whitye Street on the bus every day on my way into Nottingham to school.  It's located near the canal, between what was the old High Level Railway Station and Trent Bridge.

Sorry about the typo above!  It should of course read Kirk White Street

If it helps, here's a map extract from around 1960s. Stanley Terrace is bottom left. Mayfield Grove just to the right. Sadly neither exist now.

Focus in on Crocus St and you will see todays map and where Kirke White Street was compared to Sherwoods map. The Meadows were blitz in the 1960s for the sake of modernisation and upgrading housing! Well done Sherwood for finding the map with Kirke White Street on it.

Just in case it makes a difference to your searches Kirkewhite Street is all one word. It's not clear on the map on this thread as it's intersected by another road, but there is a dash between Kirke and white.

my ancestor's relation worked as a domestic at this address in 1911

appears to be "Kirkewhite" here too
