Hi gah, thanks very much for the reply, unfortunately the latest Massey I have in my tree is a Mary Massey born 1776 (then going back) so am really sorry but I am unable to help you at the moment, you never know, we might still be related though!

Thanks again

I am currently researching 2 sets of Massey families. One from Alstonfield which I have going back to the 1700's and the other from Norbury. What is interesting me is that both these families keep using the name Bartholomew throughout the generations does this name crop up in your Ipstones family Anna??

My Norbury Massey family have lovely names like Sense and Brey (girls names) that run through them.

I know this is a shot in the dark but I've searched on the internet till my fingers are raw and I have to wait till I can get over to Staffordshire next year to search the parish records.

All the best

Eyyupp Anna,
my family, CORDEN/cordon/cordan/cawden, originate in Ipstones, (Cordon in your footnotes).
I have a note of a Sarah Massey, m. Robert Massey, Lichfield Cath. 11/2/1751.
Mentioned in Will of Uriah Corden, d. Ashbourne, 1793,  also was legatee in Will of Jeremiah Corden.
(Believed sister of Uriah, rel. to Jeremiah not known.
(Not my research, so cannot help further.

Hello Beechbaby, welcome to the club.
I can't recall the name Natrass in my tree, but a lot of the research was a gift, so I'll trawl through it and see what surfaces

good luck,
