Well, there is a marriage in Toronto in 1917 for Ross Tierney and Ada Lewis, they are living on Sumach St., he is a mechanic.  Maybe ask your husband if those names sound familiar?

Karen, I will ask him tonight.  I know last night he really wanted me to find family of his maternal mother.  So maybe if he recognizes any names, we can go from there.  Thanks again my little detective.

Karen, here is the scoop.  Yes Ross and Ada were my Husbands fathers parents.  Apparently Ada died when his dad was young and he remarried a not so nice person.  As for his maternal mother Roebina Deuchars.  The one you pulled up is not the right one, maybe a relative.  Roebina's parents came from Scotland.  They had 13 children and Roebina was the youngest.  Most of them were born in Scotland.  Roebina would have been born 1924 in Toronto.

Some of Roebina's siblings were Violet, and George the only 2 names I know.  That makes me wonder if George(the one that joined the war) was maybe a brother to Roebina's father.

Your are amazing.  Even Hubby is going I don't know (in other words he is amazed).  Lol.  We are having a discrepancy on Robeina's death Hubby says May 1969, and a sister in law says May 1968.  They  both agree it was around Mothers Day when she passed away.  I am trying to find information in the Richmond Hill Liberal.  Hopefully I will find something there.
