Hi all,
Thanks for the info, I'll have to double check I have it all.

Here's what I have. I need to double check my sources, but it should be from either ScotlandsPeople or IGI.

JAMES PENNYCUICK born Abt. 1816.
ISABELLA STEWART born Abt. 1811.
Married 14 May 1837 in Glencorse, Midlothian, Scotland

Children:
i.   JOHN PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1835.
ii.   JAMES PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1839, West Linton, Peebleshire, Scotland
iii.   ALEXANDER PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1840.
iv.   WILLIAM PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1842.
v.   ARCHIBALD PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1844.
vi.   ROBERT PENNYCOOK, b. Abt. 1846.

Still having problems with the parents of JAMES PENNYCUICK born Abt. 1816. Can't seem to find a link to the many Pennycook/Pennycuick families in and around Edinburgh.
Thanks again,
Alan.

Alan

I have been trying to find a connection between Wm Pennycuick, Thos Lestrange and Ronnie McMillan, whose gravestone is in Condobolin, New South Wales, Australia cemetery.

Condobolin cemetery site:

Also, there are 10 deaths in New South Wales Births Deaths and Marriages:

Any clues?

Jean

my grandfather was James Pennycook . His mother was Mary Lestrange. He came from Condoblin as far as I know. He had a brother Alexander and a sister Ethel Bonie?. He was born 1872? d 1953 in Hamilton NZ and was married to Sarah Davidson Smyth. He came to NZ to bring the Australian Court to the Exhibition in Christchurch. I'm new at this. Can anyone associate these details with theirs. I have other info

Hi and thanks to those suggestions.
Marion Pennycook married James Hamilton in 1851 in Newbattle. There is no Isabella as suggested and I know for a fact that their kids names were William (died in infancy), James born in 1856 and Helen Porteous born in 1860. For some reason Marion stayed in Scotland when James, James and Helen went to Australia in 1870. Marion worked in a paper mill and as a servant (census shows). But she did die in 1886 at the Inveresk Combination Poorhouse. It is this record and her burial that I am truly seeking. Where did deaths from this institution end up buried? Thanks Karen
