BRYDGES / CLARK
« on: Monday 19 March 07 09:57 GMT (UK) »
I am researching the families of Thomas Harford BRYDGES and Emma CLARK who married in Maryborough in 1875.
I have not been able to find any reference to the arrival of Thomas from Herefordshire ( or Surrey) where he was born around 1834. Emma came from Essex and (most likely) arrived in Sydney aboard the 'British Coromandel' in 1873.
My questions: 1. is anyone else studying the ancestors or descendants of this couple?
2. Can anyone point me to information regarding Thomas' arrival in Australia?
Regards, Tom.

Hi
I am not sure where your research stands at this point, but if you look at
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au
you will see possible useful information including  the death of Thomas Hareford Brydges in 1942 in NSW
His  father was Thomas and his mother Emma
He may have married Isabella...

If you put "Thomas Harford BRYDGES" in quotes like that into google, then you get two hits by a fellow researcher (unless it is wha tyou thought back in 2004!)

It says that Thomas emigrated to Queensland, and married Emma Clark there at Maryborough.
