Hi countryozy,

It would help us to help you if you were to tell us where you found the information you have posted.

In the Tasmanian Archives name indexes ( http://www.archives.tas.gov.au/nameindexes ) Colonial Tasmanian Family Links database, there are the following (perhaps this is where your info came from?):

TRAVIS William David & SMYTHE Alice Woolcock had:
TRAVIS F 1841
TRAVIS Susan Mary Elizabeth 1842
TRAVIS Alice 1850

and

TRAVERS William Davey & WOOLCOTT Alice had:
TRAVERS William Joseph 1844

Where did you find the death of 'Lavina'?

From the IGI (extracted entries):

William Davey TRAVIS age 31 (father George) m Alice Woolcock SMYTH age 21 (father Joseph), 15 Feb 1842 Saint Gluvias Cornwall England

William Davy TRAVIS bap 29 Dec 1805, Saint Gluvias Cornwall England, parents George TRAVIS & Joanna

George & Joanna also had (same place):
John 1792
George 1794
Mary Ann 1796
George 1798
Joseph 1801
then
William Davy 1805

Also perhaps relevant:
Alice SMITH b 1819, bap 11 Jun 1821 Saint Stephen in Brannel, Cornwall England, parents Joseph SMITH & Mary.

And from FreeBMD:

William Davey TRAVIS, marriage, Falmouth (which included St Gluvias), March quarter 1842 - Alice Woolcock SMYTH is on the same page.

There's a Francis Davy TRAVIS born to George TRAVIS & Ann, same place, in 1846 - Davy/Davey must be a family name?

Over to you to have some fun looking up further.

But I'm afraid there has been unnecessary duplication here  :(

Posts on the above thread - dated 5 to 7 March 2007 - have much of this information already (and other information) ...

Very confusing.
