Wilton cemetary look ups (offer)

I'm planning a trip around Wilton cemetary, Hawick tomorrow (assuming the weather holds out) to try and find my gt gt grandparents.

Does anyone have any names they wouold like me to look out for when I am there?  I'm planning on being there for a couple of hours .... or rather the cricket is on telly so my partner is planning to have the house to himself for a couple of hours  . 

I know it's rather short notice but I'm sure it won't be my last trip there, if anyone reads this too late.  I'll be taking a camera too so I'll happily take pics of graves that link to anyone's family if wanted.

I am groping in the dark here a little, but if this cemetery is near Harwick and/or Castleton, I would be looking for MURRAY and ARMSTRONG.  At the moment, I don't really have any first names.  My lot left the area in about 1819, and I don't know their parents' or siblings' names yet.  Perhaps you can tell me if these names appear in this cemetery at all, and in any abundance;  also the years the cemetery appears to have been open.  I think they might be there because I noticed that after emigrating, the next generation (in Canada) are living at some place  called Wilton Grove;  I don't know if this was a village or the name of their farm.  But I am fairly certain they came from Castleton originally.
I will post again if I get more details.

Hi Loo ,

I'm afraid I would need first names to look for you purely because Armstrong is such a common name around here (a bit like Smith everywhere else lol) that I could easily use up the entire memory of the camera on that one surname alone. 

If you can come up with any definate names however I'll happily take a look for you

If you are heading that way again, can you please look out for "Stainton" particularly Agnes Stainton (nee Wilson) who died between 1832 and 1840. But interested in any Stainton's as there is only one family in the Hawick/Wilton area.

I have checked Wellogate in Hawick, but haven't managed to check Wilton and a fair few lived that way.

Hi Jen,

I'm definately making a return visit but I can't promise when (unfortunately it's going to have to wait til nice weather co-incides with my days off), the name Stainton rings a bell so I'm sure there are some buried there, I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Loo, Murray is not quite as common around here so I'll keep an eye out for that name as well next time I go.

Hi Thisty if you are at the Wilton cemetery again could you please keep an eye out for a Margaret Brodie who I think died around 1840 to 1841 she had a son in 1840 Robert Brodie Wilson but she did not marry his father Walter. I think she was from Selkirk. Her father was also Walter of Black Bull Inn.
