Thomas Channer
« on: Monday 26 March 07 18:06 BST (UK) »

i have two  thomas channers in London area born approx 1780

i am wondering if Either or both  came From Buckinghamshire

in my collection of channer research
i have a thomas christened in High Wycome
may 1780 Parents Stephen channer and Mary Raynor
i am wondering if there is any other record of this Thomas
in Buckinghamshire

his father seemed to have married again and had another son George
1788 in high wycome ( he married Charlotte hawes and had a daughter in Penn)

the other is
Thomas christened Chesham Bois 8 Oct 1780
parent Thomas and Jane Carter

from father Thomas 1748-1820  Will  1820 he talks about son Thomas and grandson Thomas .

the two thomas i have in London are

thomas married to Elizabeth Lunnon
they had 6 children christened in wooburn

not sure where or when he died but it appears to be before 1841 census.

the 2nd thomas
was a widow when he married Anna maria cook in Chelsea 1824
and they had 6 children
he died 1 may 1860 st Geo Han square London

so he could have had a son called thomas from his first marriage .

so i am looking for any information on the two thomas Christened in Buckinghamshire

Hi Andrea,

It has been some time since you posted and I wonder if you
are still interested in Thomas Channer.

He is in my husbands tree.   Married to Elizabeth Lunnon with
three children christened in Wooburn

Henry 1809 William 1810 Thomas 1812 and Robert 1815

My husbands ancestor is William who was also a baker trained
in Amersham but left to live in Lambeth where he married
Maria Johnson.    He became a lamplighter.

I am interested in where Thomas was born and his
ancestors if you have any information.

Best wishes

Dixie Channer

It's been a long time since you posted inquiry about Thomas Channer (1748-1820) who married Jane Carter.  I have his father's name and 3 generations of his mother's family, if you are still interested.
