MANLY CEMETERY INFORMATION ON LINE
« on: Friday 30 March 07 23:07 BST (UK) »
I received  yhe following information on an article printed in the Manly Daily
newspaper last Tuesday, 27th March.
Quote
Manly Council's website now has a link detailing online burial information
from the cemetery in Griffiths St, Manly.
The amount of information varies from the single fact that a plot was
occupied, to the plot number, name of deceased, last address, date of
burial, age, and name and address of the person who purchased the plot.
Some of the information is alphabetical by surname and some is a case of
checking page by page for the name you're after. There are also maps of the
cemetery showing all plot locations.
Well worth the look if you have relatives buried there.
The web address is
www.manly.nsw.gov.au/Manly-Cemetery.html
The Manly Council website also has some Sands directories transcribed for
the Manly area only and quite a lot of local history information.
