Italian in Liverpool
« on: Monday 29 November 04 16:36 GMT (UK) »
Hi,  :D
I'm Italian.
I'm new in this site.  :)
I search an Italian person married in Liverpool..  the name is Leonardo Corratto (Corratto surname is mistaken)...

I know that, from marriage's act, are:

"7th. January 1877 St. Thomas & St. William School Edgar Street [I assume that there was a Chapel in this Catholic school]
-Leonard Corratto 36 years old
, Widower [so married before]- labourer [occupation] Portland street, son of  Antonio Corratto - mariner [father's occupation] married with
-Angela Luke, 30 years old, spinster, of Circus Street daughter of Lawrence Luke  Labourer [occupation].

Son of Leonardo and Angela I know:
- James born in 1871 -Liverpool;  married Margaret Clarke 1892; James changed the italian surname in SALLA, so called James Salla.. this surname Salla coming from another relative in Liverpool: Philippa Salla aged 60 in December 1891.

Now:
-Corratto surname is mistaken sure why in Italy exist not  ... ::)

I search italian birthplace of Leonardo...

are possible some help? some suggestion? where to try...? On line are not many records free access.... :(
Thanks for your time.
Hoping some help ...
Regards,
---------suanj
