Is this the family you are looking for in 1851?
The surname is recorded as Vaune but Susan Honeybun is at the same address in 1881 and 1891
Scarrots Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England
William Vaune  1813 Sweep Devon, England
Susan Vaune 1820 - Newport, Isle of Wight
Edith Vaune Daughter  1837 - Newport
John Vaune Son  1838 Scholar At Home Newport
Henry Vaune Son 1842 Scholar At Home Newport
Alfred Vaune Son 1844 Scholar At Home Newport
George Vaune Son1846 Scholar At Home Newport
Elizabeth Vaune Daughter1848 - Newport

I can find Susan and son Charles in 1881
15, Scarrotts Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England
Susan Honeybun Head Married  1821 Nurse  Newport, Isle of Wight
Charles Honeybun Son Single 1853 General Labour Newport

And again in 1891
Scarrotts Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England
Charles Honeybun Head Single  1854 Labourer At Gas Works
Susan Honeybun Mother Widow Female 1815 - Newport

There is a probable death for Susan in 1896 although her year of birth is given as 1803

No sign yet in 1861/71

Yes thats the one , I have managed to track them to the IOW but its William that I can't find anything about before 1813, they seem to swap between Honeybun, Vaune and Vaughan which is my mum's maiden name, its all very confusing .

Thanks for helping:)
