Hi to all in Middlesex,I need help to find the resting place of my gt aunt, Annie Ide Murphy, she died 23 September 1953 in Stanwell,Middlesex.
At the time off her death she was a Nun ie Sister at Laleham Abbey,Laleham,Middlesex.
Would she have been buried in or near the Abbey or at a local Cemetery !
Thanks for all help, here's hoping Manoffkent.

Hi

We live at Laleham Abbey and having seen your message thought we would take a quick - and very cold ! - walk around All Saints, Laleham churchyard for you this morning.

In the far corner of the churchyard is a commemoration stone headed Community of St Peter the Apostle 1932-1980 and it lists 3 Mothers and approximately 50 Sisters by their name in the Order. There is neither an indication of the full names nor whether the stone indicates a resting place for nuns who died at Laleham Abbey but it seems likely that this is what it is.

Best wishes for your research.
