Hi,

I had a quick look at some my accumalated junk. This is
part of a map of Barnsley before the area was redeveloped. The
Chapel is marked CH at the corner of Buckley St. and Albion St.

If you look at Google Earth , You will see the Chapel ( Or at
least I think It is the Chapel) To the right of the tower block.

Hi tomkin

Thank you for these photos, they are very interesting and I've added the old map to the file - I hope you don't mind  :)

Just glad that they have come in useful. It took ages to find the old map.
I knew it was there but thanks to my wonderful filing system I didn't
know exactly where. Looking for it though revealed my car documentation
which had also dissappeared.    So all in all a good result.

Hi,

I've just realised I haven't thanked you for these photos, they have made a great addition to the file/book (or epic as I now like to call it  ;D, I'm amazed at all the info I have been able to gather!!)

Thanks,

Sarah

I'm hoping to add a photo of my gt gt grandfather but I'm having trouble so if this message comes up several times without a photo you'll know why (i'll just give up and wait until mu husband comes home from work!!)

If anyone is able to help me date it, he died in 1918 aged 72 and I can't really tell from the clothes what era it would have been.
