A parish record for JAMES ELMS[ELMES] B abt 1775

I wonder if anyone can find a parish record of James Elmes born about 1775-77 in Witlshire. I believe he was born in or around Chippenham/Corsham/Melksham or Lacock area. He married in 1799 at Chippenham to Betty Emmett. He was a thatcher. I just wish I could find his parents. Thankyou
