Hi,

Have you tried looking for old postcards? Street scenes where always popular and about the turn of the centaury they became very popular. To find photos any earlier would be very difficult, the local museum may have some but you may not be able to get copies.

I know of a wee antiques shop in Innerleithen and they have 100's of postcards and I am sure they could help. There website does not have any postcards on at the moment but all there contact information is on so you could send them an e-mail and I'm sure they would try to help as best they can.http://www.keepsakes.freeserve.co.uk/

Apart from that you could try e-bay.
