Lambe Family Co. Kerry
« on: Saturday 28 April 07 17:32 BST (UK) »
Hello! I donít know if you can help me?
I am trying to find out where my Great Grandfather came from in Ireland
I have been told he came from Co Kerry but I am not sure.
His name was James Lambe born in 1852 in Ireland.
Died June 1910 in England (customs Officer)
His father also James Lambe was a Timber Merchant[/u]. (Deceased by 1876)
He married Maria Margaret Clarke (Born I think in Dublin in 1854)
in Gravesend Kent in 1876.
Both were Roman Catholic. (Her father was John Clarke a teacher)
After his wife Maria died in 1851 he married for a second time back in his hometown in Eire.
Her name was Hannah ??
Is there a way I can find out where he came from???
I would be pleased with any help, as I have been trying to find out
For years. I live in South Tyrol N. Italy so it is not so easy to find anything. I am also Dyslexic so when I find out something with too much jargon I get lost.
I will be comming over to Ireland for 2 weeks at the end of May.
Yours hopefully Feli
