I believe your Richard Prasher to be a son of Charles Prasher and Agnes Harrison(both born in Ireland).
A nephew of Richard Prasher named William Prasher married Elizabeth McAlonan in Dalry in 1910. I have extensive info on the McAlonan Line.
I have 6 children from Charles Prasher and Agnes Harrison; Charles born circa 1858 in Ireland. Richard born 1862 in Ireland.William born 1866 in Dalry( married Sarah Low circa 1885).Robert born 1868 in Dalry.Margaret Prasher born 1873 in Dalry.John Prasher born 1875 in Dalry.

Hi -

I think these "Murrays" and "Boyces" are my ancestors.  My mother was Martha Murray Boyce Reid Baird (born in Barrhead 21.05.27) to Martha Murray Boyce Reid and James Baird.  My grandmother came from Dalry and had a brother (and I think an Uncle also) called Hugh.  I know that the family (I think the Boyces) hailed from Ireland.

What is your connection with this particular tree?

Hi

Given that Martha Murray (1853) married Hugh Boyce (1848), do you descend from this family here:
http://tiny.cc/0OlsL

My mother was a Murray of Martha Murray's family.

Kind regards

Stan

Hi,

My late husband is descended from Hugh BOYCE (1848-1893) and Martha MURRAY (1852-1934):-

Their daughter Mary Dickenson [or Dickieson] BOYCE b.1875 married Thomas JACKSON b.1874 of Peesweep Row, Dalry, on 31 Dec 1894 at Presbyterian Church, Westend, Dalry.

They had the following children:-

Mary Ann Jackson b.1895
Martha Murray Jackson (b.1898 Dalry-d.1982 Western Australia )
David Jackson b.1899
James Boyce Jackson (b.1900 Dalry-d.1980 Kelty, Fife)

James Boyce JACKSON was a Miner and moved to Fife, where there were numerous coal mines at the time.  He married Catherine McPhillips GREER (b.1902 Bathgate d.Kelty, Fife) on 2 September 1921 in The Moray United Free Church Manse, Kelty, Fife

They had 4 daughters:-

1.  (living) - married, and had 3 sons
2.  Sarah Jackson - married, and had 1 son
3.  Catherine Jackson - married, and had 1 daughter
4.  (living)------ Greer Boyce Jackson - married, and had 1 daughter and 1 son (my late husband).  His sister has 'Greer' and 'Boyce' as her middle names! :)
