Vinten family Kent and London photographs
« on: Wednesday 02 May 07 14:42 BST (UK) »
Hi I am looking for anyone related to the Vinten Family from the Kent and London area mainly the areas of Bridge, Ewell and the surrounding area. as well as Poplar To share information with and might be able to fill in some blanks on our trees. I have also set up a website at www.genewizard.pwpblueyonder.co.uk which has photographs of unknown Vinten and Friend family members, have a look and see if any of your ancestors are there, you might just be able to put a name to a face.

 :)

In my family tree I have an Ambrose Vinten born 1880 Maidstone Kent he married an Elizabeth Emberson. They had four children, Ambrose Jack - 5 December 1916 in Chingford, Essex died in 1998 in Weston Super Mare.  Albert Ambrose -1910,  William - 1913 and  Margery - 1908 all born in Essex.

I tried to access your website but unfortunately the link did not work.

I have more information but thought I would just write a quick summary hoping there is a connection with other names you know about, then I can give you further information.

Regards

Lesley

Hi genesresearcher,

as in my message from July 07 I have several Vinten members in my tree, as they too were born in Maidstone I feel there must be a connection.  I haven't done much research on this family for a long time so will try and find some more information.

Hi - I realise this is quite an old message, but I do have some links and named photos of Vintens/Friend in Bridge/Ewell.  Specifically Edith, Jessie and Florrie Vinten.  Edith I believe married a Harold Friend in Bridge.  Perhaps we can unravel a few mysteries?

Hi

thanks so much for your message, at the moment I have not found any Vintens in my tree for the Bridge or Ewell area mine seem to have come from Maidstone and then moved to Chingford Essex.  Is the Ewell you are talking about in Kent as there is one near me in Surrey.

If I find any more information or link I will be in touch and please do the same for me.

kind regards,

Lesley

Hello Lesley

Thanks for the reply.  I have very little information on the Vintens - the photos came from an elderly Frirend relative and are only for the Bridge and Ewell in Kent in the 1920s.  I think they'd be of more interest to "genewizard" but the link to his website doesn't work.

If I discover anything relevant to Maidstone, I will be in touch.

regards

Mary
