Hi Does anyone have access to the above census


Looking or a Thomas Holt/?
Margaret there daughter born about 1856 Newton le willows (this birth  place is from 1881 census margaret Married Robert Holmes
about 1870's  .Dont have any other info on mother .hoping to find out what she was called on 1861.

it's an oldie..........is it completed? if not have you any additional info?

in 1861 their are 113 Margaret Holt's in Lancs
"        "            "   90 Thomas Holt's of age 25-50 in Lancs

Bryant
Researching names BRYANT (Camberwell), PASTERFIELD (Essex and all), RAY (Holborn/Islington areas back to Brentford), POWELL (Glouc & beyond?)
Fletcher (Glouc into Warwickshie into Lancs?), BUCKLEY (Chatham area), Watson (Chatham area).

Hi Fifer,

You didn't say where they were on the 1881 census? Perhaps that would give us some clue where they were married and we could check the BMD for the certificate. If you sent for it then you've got her maiden name and her fathers name. Then also her birth certificate, if you know her name is definately Holt it should be straightforward to find so you can send for it?

In the meantime there are two 1861 census that might be of interest?

Mary wife 42 Haydock
Margaret daug 6 Haydock
Francis son 4 Haydock
Mary A -?- 1 Newton
