Carter family from Kent
« on: Sunday 06 May 07 22:42 BST (UK) »
I am researching into the Carter family from around Herne Bay, Kent.   I am wondering if anybody has any information on Jesse Stephen Carter B.1876, he married Lucy Margaret Beadswell in 1899.   They had a son John Edward Carter, circa 1915, who was killed in 1941.   John Edward Carter was married to a Vera Mason Carter (Cooper) who may have remarried and took the name Chapman.   Any way here's hoping someone can help, I've hit the proverbial brickwall.

I think Jesse Stephen Carter may have been my great uncle on my dad's side of the family. My dad's dad was called Albert Edward Carter and he was born in 1886 . His mum was Jemima Ann. My dad was born in1923 and was called Edwin Albert john Carter .

Good morning all. Is there anyone from this thread still looking into the Herne Bay Carters? Keen to make some local links. Cheers, Stephen Carter (Australia)

Hello

I was researching this family as my wifes uncle was killed during ww2 whilst flying with one of the family members of the Carter family.   I was trying to get hold of a photo of his crew.   If you would like to know more i can be contacted at neonrock"at" bigpond.com.

I am in South Australia.
