IGI I finally found him
« on: Tuesday 08 May 07 12:22 BST (UK) »
What a suprise this morning looking on  the IGI for the COCKERTON's in Kent and I find Charles Cockerton I have been looking for his birth/ baptism for over a year.

The baptism record of Charles Cockerton July 5th 1812 Maidstone, Kent.  Father George Cockerton & Sarah.

How relieved I am to definitely find him.  ;D ;D ;D

It shows that you must retrace your steps from time to time.

Thanks to the IGI and LDS

Happy today, hope everyone is lucky in their searches.

Hi Teresa,

Good for you!  It's always good to hear of something like that.  Well worth going back to see if new things have been added to records

Hope that will help you find the baptism in the parish records now to confirm it.   :D

Hi Teresa

You sent me looking for my gg grandfathers christening - and I found it  ;D  ;D  Family records say Maidstone but the extracted IGI record says Bearsted (eventually found a couple of miles away) - otherwise all is correct  ;D  ;D

Many thanks

Trish
