As I was using FreeBMD, I looked for a death for Richard Humphreys, but unfortunately, there's 3 in the Atcham district, Dec Q 1872, Sep Q 1878, and June Q 1880

I think it must be the last one because his late wife has his child with her (Alice Humphreys) age 1 in 188o....unless it was the immaculate conception thing! LOL

No, you dont sound rude at all. I have Ann and Richards Hotchkiss on a later census with three more children of Richards and her place of birth is given as pontesbury
