Kooky - thanks for your email.  My father was James Francis Tyrrell, born 28/7/1911 -  who died sometime in 1946/7 (I think - I was only young so can't remember much). His father was James Thomas Tyrrell and his mother was Bridget Mary Tyrrell (nee Crawford).  When he was born they lived at 2 Albert Street, South Manchester, registered in Chorlton on Medlock.  I never met these grandparents, but did meet an aunt or uncle once who lived from London.  I'd appreciate any info you have.  Thanks.  Anne.
PS  - Just in case you get confused, I did have a brother, James, who very sadly died in 1989 - you may know of him.

Welcome to rootschat, Mitch1066.

Unfortunately this post was from 2007, and bristolsheriiff was last on these boards in 2008, so may not still be expecting any replies.

Have you got dates for Bridget and James, so we can give you some pointers to work out your ancestors?
Do you have access to Ancestry - so you can look and see if they are in any family trees on there?

Do you know if Bridget was Irish. and is she Bridget Mary or Bridget Flynn Crawford?

This is James's birth (no middle name), surely, with a slightly different spelling for Daley, so not 1869?
