O'Malley/O'Grady/Kilcoyne 1800-1870
« on: Thursday 31 May 07 19:01 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for any information on Michael Rodney O'Malley (b.1836-1840, Ireland) m.abt 1862/63 to Catherine O'Grady emigrated to Quebec, Canada around 1865.

Michael Rodney O'Malley's parents are Patrick O'Malley and Anna Kilcoyne.

Family lore says they were from Louisburgh/Castlebar area (which fits with the surname O'Malley and other surnames in the family) but no specific proof.

children of Michael and Catherine are...
Patrick O'Malley b. 1864 Ireland
Thomas O'Malley b. 13 Nov 1864/65 Ireland
James Walter O'Malley 29 Aug 1869 Magog, Quebec, Canada

James Walter is our ancestor.

Thanks for any information provided.

Jennifer

Don't know if you're still looking but Familysearch has Catherine Grady and Michael Malley, Louisburgh having a Daughter Mary 1866 and a son Thomas 1864. Sometimes the O' is dropped from infront of the surname.
