Stanford family help please
« on: Monday 06 December 04 20:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi I have found this family in the 1871 census and would be grateful if anyone could help with finding them on the 1861 census. If anyone could help with finding any birth/chr records of  any of the family I would be most grateful  or the marriage of the parents.

1871

John stanford 35  b. Ely/Downham, Camb  Ag Lab
Harriet   "       32  b. Langport, somerset
John W  "       15  b. St Germain, Cornwall
Harriet   "       11  b.  Anthony, Cornwall

there are other childrenbut born later than the 1861

they were living in Devon in 1871 but the next child of the 1871 was also born in St Germain/Anthony Cornwall so they must be in Cornwall somewhere.

I would appreciate any help with this family. Thanks Anjo

Hi Anjo Here they r

RG9/1523 Folio 115 Page 11
Wacker Cottages
Antony St Jacobs
Cornwall

STANFORD John Head 25 Mar b Sely Cambridgeshire
STANFORD Harriett Wife 27 Mar b Sleaford Somerset
STANFORD John Son 5 b St Germans Cornwall
STANFORD Harriett Dau 6 Months b Antony Cornwall
LUSTON John Lodger 20 Unm b Devon

For the Occ Anjo on both these men appear only 2 initials Johns look like UT (Maybe WT) and the Lodger UD (Mayb WD) ab no idea what that means everybody else seems to have propper Occ logged so guess it is not just the emumerators way

Cheers Kris  :D

funny they also stuck an S before each of the parents birthplace??!!
Thanks for all your help. All the best Angela
