Mccormack c1825???
« on: Tuesday 07 December 04 18:02 GMT (UK) »
Hello there everybody!  :)

Hoping someone may be able to help me locate some information on my 'James McCormack' (born in Ireland) he could've been born between c1815-30?
I have him on the 1871 census in Middlesex, England Widowed living with daughter Margaret McCormack b c1848 middlesex and son John (francis?) McCormack b 1857 Chelsea. There may be other children that have left home. I don't know the name of his dead wife or when they married or where! This is it im afraid!
Thankyou very very much

Hi Penninah

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

In the mean time the following resources may be of help to you.

The General Register Office of Ireland

The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland

Hi,

You should try and find more English records first looking for a better idea of date of birth and parish or townland as without that you are lost in Ireland.

try 1861 census now (paid) on 1837online and look for his marriage before the birth of his first child.
