JAMES family - Thomas & Eliza
« on: Tuesday 12 June 07 08:48 BST (UK) »
I have a very difficult one for you here!!
I am looking for an Edwin JAMES born (according to his death certificate in 1907 birth was in 1851 in Woolwich, London)
However I have not been able to find this family anywhere in the London area.
The clue is - he arrived in New Zealand in about 1870 and  named his farm in New Zealand "Kilmory" so believe he must have had a link with Scotland.
Parents were supposedly Thomas JAMES and Eliza Maude LOVELOCK
Any help greatly appreciated

Edwin James was my gggrandfather, he married Rosina Rayner and had  8 children. He died 28 Nov 1927 on his farm Moreton Rd Parkvale Carterton New Zealand from gunshot wounds. I am interested in finding more about Thomas and Eliz (Elizabeth his parents as I have drawn a blank at that point.

Now that may make some sense as I found documents to suggest a John James at one point above Edwin. If you care to use my email address we can share information. Where did your daughter marry and to whom?
